I'm looking
for Serendipity
I know what it looks like
it's a very small spot
easily missed -
almost always missed
I've found it before
in little doses
teases really
The times when you
each
look at what's about to happen
and you say
My, can you feature that?
Like it was pulled from a hat!
But we both know there's
no sense in me asking you
where it is
now
I would have found
it before
I posed the question
You would have known
and
you would have told me
by now
The simple nature of the thing
is the simple fact of it
Simply put
I'd better rethink
my position
and my goals
Reevaluate the interrogative
Realign my poles
Little serendipities happen
to amuse
Serendipity
Happens
Or it doesn't .
. .
You
can't
go
looking
for it.
Wait!
Yes you can.
And there's the magic
But, there's the
rub of it, too
Serendipity
finds
you
So, I'll just close
my eyes
and hope it finds me
again,
Before I fall
Gotta go
Somebody's knockin at my door.
